Central Data's scsiTerminal Server/ST-1610 provides high-performanceserial expansion for SPARCstation(TM) and server without consuming anySbus slots. The ST-1610's 16 high- performance asychronous serial portswill each transfer at 11K baud simultaneously, providing idealconnections for V.34 modems, printers, terminals, and other RS-232devices. Since the serial ports are local tty ports, there are nocomplex network configurations to deal with. The ST-1610 is stackable,making it easy to combine several units, providing a variety of expansionoptions. The St-1610 connects to the host system's SCSI port. This unitincludes a five year warranty and has surge protection on all seriallines for increased reliability. Drivers are available for HP-UX, AIX,OSF/1 and IRIX.
